CinCam M2 Tool is

Knowing your laser beam quality is critical in today’s laser material processes. The beam quality factor M² indicates the focusing ability of the laser. The best possible beam quality M² = 1.0 is achieved for a Gaussian TEM00 beam. The closer M² is to 1.0, the better the beam focuses. M² is measured according to ISO 11146-1 / 2 by focusing the beam and measuring several beam profiles along the beam caustic.










The CINCAM Beam Quality M2 Tool consists of a focusing lens fixed to the front of a motorized translation stage supporting the CINCAM beam profiler. The beam profiler is automatically moved along the beam caustic to measure the beam profile at various positions. This measurement tool includes the specifically designed analysis software, RayCi, which provides an extensive range of analysis capabilities for highest accuracy in beam quality analysis. The following components are included:



 

  1. - CinCam CCD/CMOS Beam Profiler

  2. - Beam Profiling Software RayCi for computer controlled M² analysis

  3. - Motorized Translation Stage with USB controller (travel lengths: 50mm, 100mm, 150mm)
