The LaserDec system is a breakthrough in CO2 laser beam profiling. It is based on a unique patented imaging technique based on a screen converting 10.6 micron light into NIR radiation.  A high quality CCD camera is used to acquire and measure the converted light in real-time.

Easy to use, just like a VIS/NIR profiler

Using LaserDec, profiling a CO2 Laser becomes as simple and reliable as a visible/NIR laser. Just like a regular CCD camera, LaserDec can provide a high resolution image of your laser beam at video rate. Depending on the version of LaserDec, the effective pixel size (taking into account any diffusion on the converting screen) can be as small as 44 x 42 microns. The frame rate, depending on the exposure time selected, can be as fast as 50 frames per second. This provides the user enough resolution and speed to align your CO2 laser in real-time and detect small defects in your beam.

Robust system, designed for high power beams

LaserDec was designed to reliably operate with input powers up to 200 W or 500 W (depending on the version) without the use of attenuators. For the first time, it is possible to visualize a high power beam without any interference fringe caused by numerous attenuating units and without any fear of instantaneous damage to the detector. For powers above 500 W, high quality attenuation units (at 0 or 90 degrees) can be easily installed on the front end of LaserDec.

No chopper, no scanning

There is no chopper and no scanning system in LaserDec, and as a consequence,  no artifact when observing modulated beams.

Accurate Measurements with RayCi Software

LaserDec includes the specifically designed analysis software, RayCi, which supports Windows XP / Vista operating systems. Its sophisticated software architecture opens up new opportunities in laser beam analysis according to ISO standards.

Intensity range

4 standard versions of LASERDEC are currently available designed for intensity ranges of 10W/cm2 - 1.000W/cm2 W and 20W/cm2 - 2.000W/cm2. Other sensitivities are available or can be delivered upon request. Please contact us to request more information.
