LWIR Thermal Cameras & Cores

LWIR cameras (long-wave infrared cameras) are able to image light in the 8 to 14 µm spectral range. Commonly called “thermal cameras” or “thermal IR cameras,” LWIR cameras are able to image the heat emitted by objects themselves and, therefore, can provide temperature information when calibrated for a given range. In this case, we’re referring to thermographic or radiometric cameras.

Axiom Optics offers ultra-low SWaP LWIR cameras and cores based on the latest uncooled microbolometer detector technology, a state-of-the-art 12 µm pitch VOx pixel and an NETD <40 mK.

Formats available: VGA (640 x 480 px), XGA (1024 x 768 px) and SXGA (1280 x 1024 px)

Interfaces available: USB3, UVC, MIPI CSI-2, CameraLink, HD/3G-SDK, DF40, 16-bit DV
