VGA Thermal Engine Core with on-board image processing
The IrLugX640E SXGA thermal engine core boasts a resolution of 640 x 380 pixels with a 12 µm pitch. The high-definition sensor consists of an uncooled microbolometer array developed by Lynred. With its extreme low size of 30x 30 x 23 mm3, weight <38 g and power consumption under < 3W, the IrLugX640E is designed for easy integration into sub-systems. With the addition of a processing board compared to the camera module, all image optimization is done on-board (BPR, UC, Image enhancement, AGC).
The IrLugX1M3E is available with the native interface DF40C-60DP (YCbCr, Mono16) or CameraLink (16-bit), HD/3G SDI (1080p), MIPI (May 2023) or UVC (June 2023).
The IrLugX640E comes with a shutterless function and a ‘time to image’ under 6 seconds from power up. For applications requiring it, an optional mechanical shutter is available. The VGA (1280 x 1024 pixels) format of this HD thermal camera module offers unmatched image quality with an NETD as low as 30 mK.
The IrLugX640E is a dual-use (non-ITAR) thermal camera module with a frame rate up to 60 Hz.
Applications include:
- Use in UAVs (Unmanned aerial Vehicles)
- Use in UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles)
- Surveillance, security and maritime cameras
- night-vision goggles
- automotive and aircraft safety vision
- machine vision inspection
- medical images
- and much more
