TOUCAN Broadband Multispectral Camera

The TOUCAN broadband multispectral camera is specially designed for seamless integration into VIS+NIR multispectral systems. This compact and lightweight device, weighing less than 180g and with dimensions of 52 x 63 x 40 mm,  divides the image into 10 spectral bands across an extensive range (400-900nm). By employing a custom Bayer-like mosaic filter on a commercially available 4.2 MPixel CMOS Sensor through hybridization, this camera enables the extraction of the spectrum at every point within the image.

  1. Displaying the raw images, false color images, gray scale images or overlaid images with different indexation methods (such as “spectrum recognition”),
  2. Normalizing the spectral channels,
  3. Applying multispectral image corrections such as the crosstalk correction,
  4. Extracting the hypercubes.

COLOR SHADES® LAB runs with real time acquisition, but can also run with recorded single image or series of images (“replay mode”).
