SXGA Thermal Engine Core with on-board image processing
The IrLugX1M3E SXGA thermal engine core boasts a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels with a 12 µm pitch. The high-definition sensor consists of an uncooled microbolometer array developed by Lynred. With its extreme low size of 35 x 35 x ~45 mm3, weight <90 g and power consumption under 4.5W, the IrLugX1M3E is designed for easy integration into sub-systems. With the addition of a processing board compared to the camera module, all image optimization is done on-board (BPR, UC, Image enhancement, AGC).
The IrLugX1M3E is available with the native interface DF40C-60DP (YCbCr, Mono16) or CameraLink (16-bit), HD/3G SDI (1080p), MIPI (May 2023) or UVC (June 2023).
The IrLugX1M3E comes with a shutterless function and a ‘time to image’ under 6 seconds from power up. For applications requiring it, an optional mechanical shutter is available. The SXGA (1280 x 1024 pixels) format of this HD thermal camera module offers unmatched image quality with an NETD as low as 40mK and offers twice the field of view for the same fixed focal length optics compared to a VGA format (640 x 480 pixels).
The IrLugX1M3E is a dual-use (non-ITAR) thermal camera module with a frame rate up to 60 Hz.
Applications include:
- Use in UAVs (Unmanned aerial Vehicles)
- Use in UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles)
- Surveillance, security and maritime cameras
- night-vision goggles
- automotive and aircraft safety vision
- machine vision inspection
- medical images
- and much more
