Image Processing / Calibration

On host controller (PC or computer board)

The IrLugX640 VGA thermal camera module boasts a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels with a 12 µm pitch. The high-definition sensor consists of an uncooled microbolometer array developed by Lynred. With its extreme low size of 30 x 30 x 30 mm3, weight <40g and power consumption under 0.9W, the IrLugX640 is designed for easy integration into sub-systems. Using standard USB3.0 interface with RAW 16-bit video streaming, the IrLugX640 is the perfect plug-and-play solution for embedded systems. Interfacing with your host controller is made easy thanks to a comprehensive SDK providing support for configuration, control and processing (BPR, UC, Image enhancement, AGC).

The IrLugX640 comes with a shutterless function and a ‘time to image’ under 6 seconds from power up. For applications requiring it, an optional mechanical shutter is available. The VGA (640 x 480 pixels) format of this HD thermal camera module offers unmatched image quality with an NETD as low as 40 mK.

The IrLugX640 is a dual-use (non-ITAR) thermal camera module with a frame rate up to 120 Hz.

Applications include:

  • Use in UAVs (Unmanned aerial Vehicles)
  • Use in UGVs (Unmanned Ground Vehicles)
  • Surveillance, security and maritime cameras
  • night-vision goggles
  • automotive and aircraft safety vision
  • machine vision inspection
  • medical images
  • and much more
